Managed AI Analytics

Get answers from your business systems without waiting for another report.

Ask questions of approved ERP, CRM, finance, and operational data through a compatible AI assistant. Systems Place defines the business meaning, controls access, checks representative answers, and manages the service for you.

Read-only by default · Approved users and data · Tested against known results

Example analysis flow

Anonymised client implementation

A working read-only connection to approved ERP sales data.

A distributor uses purpose-built analysis tools to investigate sales performance and continue with the next question.

A read-only connection for approved ERP sales questions in an off-the-shelf AI assistant.

Approved users can investigate sales performance through follow-up questions while the ERP remains the source of record. MCP is the technical standard used for this client’s connection.

Use cases

Start with a recurring question and a result you already trust.

A useful first use case has an owner, approved data, a known comparison, and a decision the answer will support.

Compare with a close pack or finance report

Finance

What changed in margin, receivables, or forecast variance, and which customers, products, or periods explain it?

Compare with a sales pack or CRM review

Commercial

Which territories, accounts, products, or pipeline movements explain the change in sales performance?

Compare with an operations report or exception queue

Which stock, service, order, or fulfilment exceptions need attention, and what information supports the priority?

Managed AI Analytics

The service covers more than connecting an AI assistant to data.

AI analytics for business systems, built and managed for you.

01

Definitions

Agree the measures, dimensions, exceptions, and decision in business language.

02

Access

Approve the users, systems, fields, operations, and result limits.

03

Use an existing tool, BI, managed platform, or purpose-built MCP connection as the case requires.

04

05

Monitoring and support

Maintain the agreed service, investigate incidents, control changes, and plan exit.

The customer remains in control

  • Approve the business purpose and definitions
  • Authorise users, data, and provider settings
  • Own decisions made from the analysis

Assess, Build, Run

Make one clear commitment at a time.

Each stage produces something you can review before the next stage begins.

01 Assess

question, data, options, recommendation

02 Build

definitions, access, tools, tests

03 Run

monitoring, support, change, exit

A production build begins only when the assessment supports it. Launch follows agreed answer, access, and operating checks.

Security

Know what can be accessed, where data goes, and who is responsible.

Read-only protects source records from change. Users, permissions, result limits, AI provider processing, logging, retention, incidents, and exit still need explicit decisions.

The provider, identity, access, network, logging, retention, and exit arrangements are reviewed for the selected option.

Good first fit

One question, one owner, known data, and a result you can check.

Question

The team asks it repeatedly and waiting for a new report slows the review.

Owner

A person or team is accountable for the decision the answer will inform.

Data

The likely ERP, CRM, finance, or operational sources are known and can be reviewed for access.

Comparison

A trusted report, source result, or known example can be used to check representative answers.

Common questions

Questions buyers usually ask first.

Do we need a custom connection?

Not necessarily. The assessment can recommend an existing product, BI, a managed platform, a purpose-built connection, prerequisite work, or stopping.

Can we begin read-only?

Yes. Read-only is the default starting point. Any later write action needs separate approval, permissions, testing, and operating controls.

How are answers checked?

Representative questions are compared with trusted reports, source-system results, or known examples. Access and failure behaviour are checked too.

Does this replace our BI?

It may complement existing BI or the assessment may recommend using BI alone. The choice depends on the question, access, trusted comparisons, and operating needs.

First step

Choose the simplest way to answer one business question before you build.

Bring the question, the team that owns it, the systems involved, and a report or known result you trust.
